Once a North Friesian tradition it has become a popular garden trend to decorate your natural stone wall with roses. These stone walls are dry walls made of natural stones and soil. This is an exceptional good spot for planting roses, because roses tend to make deep roots and always love to get a little wind into their foliage. We do not recommend taking varieties with very double flowers, because you would have a quite complicated summer cut. The following varieties are good, as they have less doubled flowers and quite a broad, slightly hanging and not too high growth habit.
