This variety is a mutation of F. J. Grootendorst. It has a different colour, but the flowers have the same fringed petals - therefore they are called carnation-roses. From R. rugosa they inherited their health, winter hardiness and typical thorns.

Unverwüstlich und wunderschön
Ich habe die Grootendorst als Hecke vor vielen Jahren gepflanzt. Sie ist gesund und blüht immer wieder üppig. Wird größer als beschrieben. Ich schneide sie jedes Jahr mit der Heckenschere im Herbst auf Brusthöhe herunter. Treibt im Frühjahr super durch. Duftet nur sehr wenig.
